Jill

The cold nights of early fall
and Jill
her fragrance in the car
with me still
and I can feel her glow
and the emotions flow
on the cold nights of early fall
with Jill

and she smiled at me sweet
in the night
and her smile was warm
and burning bright
moonlight on her hair
there was magic there
as she smiled at me sweet
in the night

and I found myself whispering
her name
and I felt the heat beside
the flame
and it warmed my heart
it touched my weakest part
when I found myself whispering
her name

we watched the sun set orange
that night
and the car was aglow
with her light
and when I held her hand
I knew I could stand
when we watched the sun set orange
that night

and now I walk on
with Jill
and my heart beats again
with Jill
and I feel safe and warm
she is shelter from the storm
and I’ll never walk alone
with Jill

(from “Part Four: Tragic Glorious”)

Nice. Pleasant. A story of finding someone after another has gone. Harry Connick has a song (and a wife) named Jill.
